This was Rihanna's performance for her song-Disturbia.
I found it very inspiring as the clothing,
which was predominantly black leather, with buckles
and corset style tie ups as well as her strong black make up
( unrestricted from her eyelids) made her look very Gothic.
I found the song has quite a pop sound with the
continuous beat sounding quite a bit like
commercial "radio friendly" music.
However the odd sounds that are incorporated are what give this song it's edge.
The piano keys in the begining and odd screams during are elements
that make this song disturbing in a good way.
She brought elements of gothic music and style to pop/ mainstream culture.
